In 1991, Evelyn and René Marcil reconciled. Though Evelyn was then based in Toronto, René frequently travelled to Paris before being felled by a heart attack.

|
Thereafter, his heart condition limited his travels and he had to seek medical attention. This he received at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto.
|
|
|
He passed away on September 25, 1993.
