In 1986, Marcil experimented with unconventional support media, such as wood, industrial plastic sheets and Kraft paper. Marcil’s  large oils on wood (4 feet x 8 feet approx.) were chosen for the art gallery in The Tuxedo. (Dreamworks, 2002).

On some paintings, Marcil integrated written comments. The colourful, communicative, socially textured works, unique in the Art World, earn Marcil a permanent place in the public imagination.
